RISHI

Toronto born singer-songwriter RISHI makes pop that carries both nostalgia and purpose. Steeped in Cinema, the Y2K Pop and R&B he grew up with and sharpened by his own story, his debut album ‘Treading Water’ chronicles the battles of his 20s: loss, depression, resilience, and the search for belonging. The record also fulfills a promise to his late grandmother, whose final wish was for him to follow this path and self-release his first album after years of being stuck in the major label system. Every song carries her spirit forward, culminating in the closing track that celebrates her lasting impact. Through soaring vocals and cinematic visuals, RISHI builds universes that honor where he’s been and where he’s headed. His music is about falling, rising, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going.
